Genetic Screening
We perform at minimum the OFA genetic DNA tests on our breeding dogs, as well as orthopedic screened for hip, elbow and patella problems by age 2.
Puppy must visit veterinarian with 3 business days after receiving, to confirm your puppies current health at time received. In the event after receiving your puppy, there is a concern or emergency, please contact your Veterinarian immediately. I would also appreciate a call, so we can assist you with decision that will be in puppies best interest.
*Health Guarantee does not include normal routine puppy preventative care: such as vaccinations, worming, fleas, poisoning, accidents , neglect, malnutrition, abuse, skin disorders due to stress, environmental tolerances or lack of preventative care from fleas or maintaining healthy hygiene. Conformation, ear set, coat at maturity are impossible to predict when puppies are purchased at 8-10 weeks of age. Standing ears, body and leg freckles are cosmetic. I furthermore make no assumptions or guarantee’s that puppies requested as placed with full breeding rights will mature as Breeding Quality or Ability when purchased at a young age.
*No Refunds will be given for Non Medical Reasons
Our standard Health guarantee is 1 year. Any health guarantee is valid only for dogs that are spayed or neutered by the age recommended by your Veterinarian, unless the dog was purchased with full breeding rights.
If the dog is found to have a genetic disease substantiated by a written report form a licensed Vet, then the Buyer has the option of surrendering the Dog to the Breeder (return shipping at buyers expense) and acquiring a new puppy from the Breeder (free of charge). Or the Buyer may keep the Dog and still acquire a new puppy from the Breeder (free of charge).
If the Buyer does not want another dog, then there will be a refund only within the first 72 hours of the purchase of the dog for genetic diseases only. This refund will NOT include the deposit, shipping or veterinarian charges.
Original documents prepared by examine Veterinarian need to be provided directly by veterinarian with 3 days. Documents must include date of initial exam, plus any necessary Lab Results, X-rays or Medications that have already provided or required for the dogs actual diagnosis and proposed treatment plan. In the event my Veterinarian questions the diagnosis. Mountain Top Kennel retains the right to request a second opinion by Veterinarian of choice.
If your puppy dies and you suspect a genetic problem, you must have a necropsy performed by a licensed veterinarian and have the results sent to our Veterinarian.
