In our Mountain Top Kennel each dog is cared for as an individual. I believe every dog needs time to run, play, given personal attention as a part of my family. I strive to provide the best quality of life for each dog by providing monthly preventive and veterinary care to ensure that each one is healthy and well acclimated. DNA testing by AKC® or Embark® is done on each dog before breeding to ensure healthy breeding stock and provide the best pups possible. Breed standards from both AKC and UKC are used to improve each generation produced in my breedings. Puppies are whelped and raised in my home in our whelping room. I give puppies every opportunity to thrive by acclimating them to as many experiences as possible. A program called Puppy Culture© is used to help each one grow, transition, and be ready for their new homes.
Dogs on the mountain top spend time in my home with me and my family but also have a place of their own. Our primary kennel is climate controlled and doggie doors provide access to outdoor runs for exercise and bathroom breaks. Paddocks provide ample room to romp, run, and play together or alone during the day. They hunt often for that is what they were bred to do ... their paws and pads are rough and tough - some like to swim, some like to lay around, while others enjoy the show ring competitions or finding the RAT in a barn hunt. Each dog is loved dearly! Breeding comes to and end at the age of 5 or 6 for each dog but the fun is just beginning. Retirement is time for each dog to become the star. I look for individuals or families that match each dogs personality and will make them the center of attention.
I take pride in my kennel and strive to provide the best life for each of our dogs. The families and individuals who have our dogs become friends and I enjoy staying connected with them. I love the messages, pictures, telephone calls, etc that allow me to be a continued part of each mountain top dog's life. I am a caring, dedicated, responsible breeder. My family and I love this part of our lives and look forward to you becoming a member of the mountain top family!😊❤️🐶
